Mount Meru

Mt. Meru is the second highest mountain in Tanzania at 4,562 m (14,967 ft)and the fifth highest in Africa. The volcanic mountain is located within Arusha National Park and this prime location gives trekkers the opportunity to spot the various wildlife that inhabit the area. The ascent is quite steep and the route to the summit passes through streams, parkland, mountain forest, a giant heather zone and moorland.
